CMS has released final specs on PQRI that contain some changes. Consideration of the administration of t-PA for CVA/Stroke and Dysphagia screening for CVA/Stroke or Intracranial Hemorrhage no longer apply to Emergency Medicine. It appears that these measures have had the Emergency Medicine E/M codes removed from the list of possible 'encounter codes'. 99281-99285, 99291, and 99292 are no longer listed as allowable denominator codes. T-System will be presenting WebEx presentations on PQRI and how the new T-plates can be used for reporting the PQRI measures. The sessions for use of the paper Templates will be at 1:00 on June 6, 11, 20 and 27. To access the session: 1. Go to https://tsystem.webex.com 2. Password: PQRI 3. Call in: 1-800-820-4690 4. Dial the pin# 4697915521 We have verified that the new t-plates containing areas for reporting PQRI measures will be available to providers in the hospitals that use T-System documentation. MedaPhase plans to begin coding and reporting the PQRI measures that have been selected by clients on June 20 to verify that all systems are in place prior to the July 1 CMS start date.
